Google Drive and OneDrive sync files you drop in manually. Migra-PC goes much further: it also backs up your installed software, your browser passwords, and restores all that automatically on a new PC. Plus, Migra-PC uses zero-knowledge encryption: Google can read your files, we can’t.

Migra-PC is available for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Mac and Linux versions are being studied. Since your data is encrypted, you can restore it from any compatible Windows PC.

Yes. Each file is individually encrypted on your PC with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from your password via Argon2id. Encryption happens BEFORE any data leaves your machine. Our servers only store unreadable data.

No. Mathematically no. The encryption key is never transmitted to our servers. Without it, files are just noise. Even if we were hacked tomorrow, attackers couldn’t read your backups.

Attackers would only get metadata (emails, subscription statuses) and encrypted files. Without your key, these files are unreadable. That’s the key advantage of the zero-knowledge model.

It’s your safety net. If you forget your password, this BIP39 phrase lets you regenerate your decryption key. Keep it in a safe place (password manager, paper in a vault). Without it, and without your password, your data is permanently lost.

Yes. Migra-PC extracts passwords stored by your browser, then encrypts them IMMEDIATELY on your PC with your personal key. The plaintext password never leaves your machine. On restore, Migra-PC reimports them directly into the new PC’s browsers.

Yes, 7 days free. A credit card is required at signup to prevent abuse (mass account creation), but no charge happens during the first 7 days. One-click cancellation without fees during that period.

Yes. No duration commitment. Cancellation is immediate from your account dashboard. Your access remains active until the end of the already-paid billing period.

Yes, from your account dashboard. The change is instant with pro-rata calculation: if you go from Solo to Family mid-month, you pay the difference pro-rated for the remaining days.

No strict limit defined yet. Typical volumes we see range from 5 to 500 GB per PC. If you exceed 1 TB, we’ll reach out to discuss an adapted plan.

By default once a month, on the 1st at 3:00 AM. If your PC is off at that time, the backup runs at the next boot. You can also trigger a manual backup anytime.

Depends on the data volume and your internet speed. The first backup is the longest (hours for 100 GB). Subsequent backups only transfer modified files, usually in a few minutes.

No. Backups run at low priority and at night. RAM usage stays under 100 MB when idle, and even during an active transfer, the CPU impact is negligible.

Install Migra-PC, log in to your account, and click Restore. You choose what to restore (all or part). A few minutes later, your files are back in place, bookmarks and passwords imported into the browsers, and the software list opens in your browser.

You keep 30 days of read-only access to restore your backups. After those 30 days, the stored files are permanently deleted from our servers. The user account stays active for possible reactivation.

Unfortunately, your data is permanently lost. That’s the flip side of zero-knowledge: even we can’t help you. Write down your 12-word phrase on paper right at signup and keep it in a safe place. Don’t store it on the PC it’s meant to protect.
